ADDIS ABABA / JUBA / NAIROBI — WaterLines Africa has officially launched as an independent editorial platform focused exclusively on water, transboundary governance, and the Water–Energy–Food (WEF) Nexus across Africa.
The platform aims to provide credible, evidence-based reporting and analysis on water policy, shared river basins, climate resilience, infrastructure development, and sustainable resource management. With a primary focus on East Africa and the Nile Basin, WaterLines Africa seeks to bridge science, policy, and public understanding.
The site will feature concise Water Briefs, in-depth reporting, expert commentary, and technical insights on data, models, and maps related to water security and regional cooperation.
By centering African water realities within both regional and global contexts, WaterLines Africa positions itself as a trusted source for policymakers, researchers, development practitioners, journalists, and informed citizens.
